UK Card Acquirer Index 2026.
The UK Card Acquirer Index is a verified, structured dataset of the UK-licensed card-payment acquirers and payment facilitators Kartapay compares: registered legal entity name, UK Companies House number, parent group, commercial model and onboarding language. Every entity field is taken from Companies House records, not from advertising. This page tracks 10 acquirers, each with a verifiable UK company registration. The data is published in English because it is a factual reference layer; the localised Polish and Romanian guides link to it.

Methodology
Each acquirer in the index is reviewed against a common schema so the rows are directly comparable. We record the trading name, the registered legal entity name, the UK Companies House registration number, the parent group, the commercial model (payment facilitator, acquirer, or ISO acquirer), and the onboarding or support languages Kartapay has verified.
Source material is Companies House records for legal entity and registration data, plus published provider information for the commercial model and onboarding language. We only list an acquirer that holds UK trading authorisation and can settle into a UK business bank account. Polish-domestic and Romanian-domestic operators such as polcard.pl, NETOPIA and mypos.com/ro-ro are deliberately excluded because they cannot settle into a UK business account.
The "last updated" date above is set to the most recent acquirer review date in the underlying dataset, so it never overstates freshness. The index is maintained by the Kartapay editorial team and overseen by Oliver Mackman, director of Best Business Loans Ltd.
This dataset is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. You may reuse the data with attribution to Kartapay (kartapay.co.uk).
